Untitled, Four Pink Roses

Kim Eun Young

Kim Eun Young was born in 1972 and raised in a rural village in South Korea. She graduated from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea in 1996 for Fine Art. During her college career and after graduating, the artist won various art competitions such as National Korea Art Exhibition. Kim Eun Young was then married in 1997. Soon after marriage, she moved to the United States and took a break from her art career to care for her four beautiful children. During her hiatus, Eun Young’s enthusiasm for art was never lost. For years, she taught private art lessons and has recently begun to take up her brush again to paint extravagant pieces. Her inspiration for her art is drawn from nature from vast fields of tulips to purple variegated cabbage. Jeong is incredibly skilled in her abstract texture and color work as she has an extraordinary painting style by physically squeezing paint onto the canvas.
